Follow your Bliss!

pathJoseph Campbell wrote in The Power of Myth:

If you follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living.

I believe that we can all live the bliss-filled lives we “ought to be living” by listening to our guts and hearts. The hard part, though, is cutting through the static created by our judging minds and cultural conditioning long enough to actually hear what what we already know deep down inside.

There are many pathways to discovering what makes us come alive, and I offer to you here the constellation of practices that have been my own most trustworthy guides in that pursuit: freewriting, mindfulness practice, and compassionate conversation.

sunnywalkbexI have witnessed the deeply transformative power of these processes through my work as a college teacher, retreat facilitator, creative writing instructor, wilderness leader, and mentor over the past fifteen years. Informed by these experiences, along with my graduate studies in writing, psychology, mindfulness, and ecology, Cultivate Clarity sessions and workshops will help you gain clarity about your next step on the path towards the bliss “that has been there all the while, waiting for you.”

If you’re trying to resolve a big question, gain clarity about your next step, on a quest for  joy, dealing with loss and grief, or could simply use some ongoing support, Cultivate Clarity‘s offerings might be just what you need.

Shine on!
